Compete every day.
Outlast everyone.

A habit with a witness is a contract. Anvyl is the witness — and the cohort, and the leaderboard that sees when you skip.

The pitch

A habit with a witness is a contract.
Without one, it's an intention.

Every other habit app lets you skip in private. The streak resets in silence. You delete the app a week later. Nobody saw.

Anvyl changes the default. Your cohort is real. Your streak is public. The leaderboard is enough.

How it works

Three systems. One loop.

Real mechanics — not vague streaks and empty badges.

F O R G E D

Six domains

Focus, Order, Resilience, Growth, Energy, Discipline. Every action maps to one letter. Each letter has its own level, its own heat, its own decay.

Heat & streaks

Momentum is the mechanic

Show up daily and your Consistency Multiplier climbs — up to 2× heat per action. Miss a few days and you enter Tempering: a 48-hour comeback window that rewards the return.

Cohorts

Matched by forge, not by topic

30 people, paired by cosine similarity on your full FORGED map — the six letters of heat you've actually built. Cohorts are perpetual, with a weekly heat leaderboard. Outgrown your cohort? Re-pair once every seven days into one that matches your new shape.

What makes it different

Built on real numbers.

Not vibes. Actual formulas that reward consistency and punish disappearing.

Heat gain
Up to 2× per action
The Consistency Multiplier starts at 1.00 and grows +0.03 every day you log at least one action for a letter. Cap is 2.00. Show up every day, earn double — that gap compounds.
Level curve
100 × L1.5 heat per level
Level 5 costs 1,119 heat. Level 10 costs 3,163. Levels are earned, not handed out. Every level is proof of time worked, not time installed.
Tempering
+50% heat for 48h after a drop
Let a letter cool below its floor and Tempering kicks in. For 48 hours your Resilience gains a 50% boost. "Your forge is cooling — strike now." A comeback window, not a penalty.
Cohort matching
Cosine similarity on your FORGED map
Your six letters of heat — F·O·R·G·E·D — form a vector that describes what you actually build. The matcher places you with the 30 people whose vector points closest to yours, not "everyone who tapped Fitness." Re-pair once a week as your shape changes.
Account state
Cold → Warm → Hot → Burning → Forged
Log all six letters in a day and the forge hits white-hot. Miss 72 hours and it dims. Your cohort can see your state. That's the pressure. That's the point.
Archetypes
6 emergent identity labels
Your top-two letter levels determine your archetype: Operator, Scholar, Ironclad, Vanguard, Machine, or Artisan. It changes as you do. It shows on your profile.

FAQ

The honest answers.

Is my streak actually public?
Public by default — that's the whole point. Every challenge and cohort has a private mode you can flip on. The default is why most habit apps don't work; we just changed the default.
What happens when I miss a day?
Your Consistency Multiplier for that letter starts to decay: −2% on day one, −3% on day two, −5% per day after. Drop far enough and Tempering kicks in — a 48-hour window where comeback gains are boosted 50%.
What does it cost?
$2.99 per week or $59.99 per year. Both include a 7-day free trial. No free tier — the product works because everyone on the leaderboard has skin in the game.
Is it iOS only?
Yes, iOS at launch. Android and a web read-only view come after the iOS launch is stable.
Who built this?
Kyle, solo. For a while now I've been pointing daily effort at a small set of habits — atomic work, repeated, unflinchingly. Anvyl is one of the fruits of that practice. The product is shaped by the discipline it asks for, not the other way around. If it feels like it knows what consistency actually costs, that's why.
Does Anvyl use AI?
No. The leaderboard is enough.

Stop quitting in private.
